To enrol your child at Ready Steady Gymnastics please get in touch with us using one of the following methods:
– ‘Contact us’ form on our website – Contact Us
– Email us at
[email protected]
– Send us a message on our Facebook page
– Send us a message on our Instagram

Please ensure you state your child’s age and one of our administrators will advise you of our current availability for your child’s age group. Once you have chosen a suitable session you will be able to register your child for a free trial using our online registration form (link).

Yes! We always offer a free trial for all children taking part in one of our pre-bookable sessions. The only sessions that don’t apply are our ‘pay as you go’ sessions which include Tumbling Tigers and our Adult gymnastics sessions.

Your child needs to wear comfortable clothing such as t-shirt, shorts, leggings or joggers. Children are welcome to wear a leotard if they wish but this is not a requirement. Once gymnasts are enrolled in our sessions we ask that they wear a personalised club t-shirt which can be purchased on our web shop.

We won’t be able to allow children to take part if they are wearing jeans, dresses or tights, and we have a strict no jewellery policy. If stud earrings cannot be taken out they can be covered prior to the session using medical tape.

Currently our viewing gallery is closed due to Covid 19 regulations. We hope to be able to reopen this soon following further Government guidance.

Currently not due to Covid 19.

If your child is under 8 years old we require a parent or carer to stay on site during the session. If your child is 8 or over you are welcome to leave site and return ready to collect them at the end of the session. Please ensure your child knows that you won’t be on site to avoid any upset and that all contact numbers on our system are up to date in case we need to get hold of you during the session.

All children in the following sessions require British Gymnastics membership:

  • Leap Frogs
  • Fantastic Flamingos
  • Rising Phoenix
  • Teens
  • Freestyle
  • Advanced Rec
  • Development and Competitive Squads.

British Gymnastics membership is essential as this provides a comprehensive insurance package, including personal accident cover for your child whilst they are in their session. As a British Gymnastics affiliated club, all participants must be registered by their third session or they will not be able to take part, as this invalidates our club insurance. British Gymnastics membership also provides fantastic benefits such as discounts and special access to tickets for events, discount on BG GymShop products and discounts on admission at various Merlin destinations such as Legoland, Warwick Castle, Alton Towers Resort, Sea Life Centres and more.

There are lots of ways to help us here at RSG!

  • You could come along to our monthly parent’s committee meeting, where we discuss everything from new ideas for sessions, to events and fundraising. We are always looking for volunteers to help us to fundraise throughout the year, and any previous experience or help is invaluable to us as we are always striving to improve the facilities and access to equipment for our gymnasts.
  • You could help out at one of our events during the year, such as our Summer party, our Recreational competition or Christmas displays. Without our parent helpers to run stalls, sell raffle tickets and help us to obtain prizes, it would be impossible to run these events!
  • If you hold a valid DBS and have gymnastics or coaching background and would be interested in volunteering your time to help out in our sessions please get in touch, we would love to hear from you.

If you are a current member of the club and you refer a friend please ask them to mention your name upon enquiring. Once they have signed up to their monthly direct debit you will receive your first stamp on your referral card. If you get three stamps on your referral card you will receive a month’s free gymnastics! If you refer a total of five members, you will then receive a second month’s free gymnastics. There is no limit to the number of members you can refer so pick up your referral card at the admin desk today.

Yes, we are able to offer half hour or hour long private sessions around our regular classes. These sessions can be specific to flexibility, one certain skill, a particular area that requires improvement or badge preparation. We are happy to discuss your needs and goals for private sessions. Please enquire by sending an email to [email protected] or using our contact form.

Ready Steady Gymnastics is open all year round including half terms and all school holidays with the exception of:

A yearly calendar is available so that all parents are aware of the closing date for each year.

We are unable to accommodate a make-up session for any gymnast who is unable to attend their session. With many of our classes fully booked, we cannot overbook sessions as this affects our coach to child ratios. Your child will be also assigned to a specific group in their session based on age and ability, and we would be unable to administrate moves between sessions whilst ensuring they were still working within the correct group.

If your child arrives within the first ten minutes of their session starting we are able to accommodate them and allow them to participate as long as they take part in a supervised pulse raiser with one of our coaches.
If your child arrives after the first ten minutes of the session we will be unable to let them participate in the session. Our planning means that after this point we will not have a coach available to
ensure that they are appropriately warmed up and therefore safe to take part in a session.

Refunds unfortunately cannot be given for any sessions missed due to holiday or illness or retrospectively for sessions missed before notice of the decision to leave is notified. In such cases we are unable to offer spaces to any other child, and the number of coaches that are required for each session are based on the number of children booked in.
