Our Junior gymnastics program is designed to engage children in gymnastics in a fun and friendly way. The aim is to develop your child’s physical literacy skills through gymnastics. This means that we will develop their strength, flexibility, coordination and fitness. Whether children continue with gymnastics or wish to specialise in another sport, their experience at Ready Steady Gymnastics will provide them with an excellent basis for progression.
Gymnastics also provides a fantastic opportunity for children and young people to develop social skills and confidence and build positive self esteem!
Our Junior Gymnastics program children train up to four times each week. At this stage, they will develop basic movement patterns (hopping, jumping etc.), rolling, swinging, balancing and rebounding, using apparatus which is appropriate to their size and experience.
It is essential that children have fun and develop the movements and coordination to enable them to progress to working on larger piece of apparatus safely and appropriately.
We are so pleased with our parents and carers feedback for our Junior Program with children improving in school, making new friends and learning to respect boundaries set.
We work towards the British Gymnastics Core Proficiency Awards for School age children. We currently have a squad which is by invite only. This is for Gymnasts we feel are ready to progress onto the next level of Gymnastics and who might be interested in engaging in competitions late 2017.
